Our Dogs
Our dog is Mac. Actually, his full name is Macdonald Cornelius Schuck Ginsburg IV. In case you were curious.
He was named after a character on one of the funniest shows EVER, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. His favorite holidays are Passover and St. Patrick’s Day.
We had planned to get him a week before we actually did and were throwing around dog names. Having just finished an awesome episode of Sunny, Shane tossed out Dee, Charlie, and finally Mac. Mac’s a great name for a dog and we highly recommend it. We call him Macker (mostly), Mackey, Mackerole, Casserole, and Poopy (no explanation needed).
Mac has two styles: puppy and old man. On the home page is old man. In his St. Patty’s hankie is puppy. He looks puppy when we have just gotten him groomed. I prefer him shaggy, but what can ya do? The little guy’s fur would grow forever.
Macker enjoys rawhides, fuzzy socks, long walks/runs, “killing” Daddy, and talking – boy he is a talker. He has a very distinctive voice. Mind you, he doesn’t know ALL the words in the English language, but that’s no matter; if he doesn’t know the right word, he’ll just substitute boof. As in, “Mommy, I went to the boofer to get boofed.” I know that means “groomer to get groomed,” but it takes some time to translate if you don’t speak Mackish fluently.
More Mac updates to come – ain’t he just the sweetest thang?!
We also have another dog now! What?! We’re crazy. To insanity and beyond.
Charles Augustus Schuck Ginsburg X joined our family in May of 2010. He’s shaggy but a cuddlebug. He talks like an old black man. We’re not racist or ageist…that’s just the way he talks, sorry!
Ain’t he somethin?
