This weekend was just lovely! It started out with a mini birthday…my baby girl is three months old! How time does fly.

Little girl.

Check it, I’m three months.

A cute compilation my sister put together. Scrawny little newborn to chubby-cheeked baby!

Saturday was a 7 mile run – 3.5 of it with Marisa. It got pretty toasty out, actually. Then Rachel and I met Marisa, her mom Marcia, Margarita, and Baby Maya at Pop-Up in the Park in Bellaire. I had a minor meltdown beforehand because none of my clothes fit. I bought some winter clothes at TJ previously that look cute, but since the weather was quite warm I needed some lighter stuff…and my old stuff doesn’t fit yet. Spandex and cozy t-shirt it is!

Shane: “Um, why is Marisa feeding Rachel?” HAH!!!

Aimee came over for happy hour – we knocked back some vino. And then Marisa was kind enough to bring over some GOOD DOG. It’s a food truck in Houston that sells, obv, hot dogs – and they always have tofu dogs. Now they have a brick and mortar in The Heights. I’m a fan of the New Yorker dog – I love sauerkraut!

To bed early so I could wake up for the Spring Breakaway ride.

Ladies ready to ride!

I thought I was going to make a game time decision on distance, but the turnoff for the 58 miles was at mile 17, when I was feeling pretty good! Either way, this ride was SO much better than last week’s 50 miles. But the ride itself was not good – I would have been pissed if we had paid full price (we got a discount for buying a group of 4). Terrible snacks at the rest stops and no lunch at the end?!

The rest of the day was filled with baby cuddles – we were couch potatoes! At least until it was time to meet Aimee and Bradley for dinner at Barnaby’s. Did you know that their house wine is $10 for a BOTTLE?! We all enjoyed some pinot grigio! I definitely need to go back soon. I had my usual, the petaluma salad, but it wasn’t as satisfying as I remembered; should have gone for the falafel burger.

As soon as we got home, it was bath and bed for Rachie – and she slept through the night again! Knock wood. She went down at 8:30 and woke up at 6 just talking to herself, not even crying….so cute.

All in all, a busy weekend – they always are. But we wouldn’t have it any other way!
