Here’s what I’ve been reading this month!

The Monuments Men

Our book club pick for January. I wasn’t initially stoked about reading this because I’m not a big fan of non-fiction (unless it has to do with sports). I slogged through it and it was interesting, but I’ll say that it was hard to keep up with all the art – I wish I could have actually SEEN what they were talking about. Yes, this was a book that needed pictures even though I will always tell you that I unapologetically hate art. Yawn. I’m interested to see the movie though – I have a feeling that it will be portrayed well. You can skip the book, however.

The Essential Guide to Breastfeeding

What would life be like without yet another baby book? This one was chock full of awesome information, and I found myself dog-earing many pages. Highly recommend for pregnant gals or nursing moms. Not exactly a fun read, but I got through it quickly because I WANTED the info!

Orange Is the New Black: My Year in a Women’s Prison

After devouring the Netflix series, I knew I had to read the memoir on which it was based! So good. If you haven’t watched the series, do. Obviously it is based off the book but some is fictionalized to make it more dramatic. I love both and recommended this as a book club book so that the others can enjoy it as well.

What have you read this month?

Orange is the New Black is on my To Read list. I can’t wait for season 2.
