The baby is the size of a WATERMELON. Still.

I’m reaching my limit of being pregnant. At my appointment on Thursday, my doctor said that due to my progress she would not be surprised if I didn’t make it to my appointment this Wednesday. Well, it’s MONDAY, woman – and there’s still a baby in me.  Also, if people could stop asking if I’ve had the baby yet, that’d be awesome.  Do I look like I’ve had the baby yet?  Did you hear that I had the baby?  Ok then.  I know people are just making conversation, but a) it’s really frustrating to answer 10x per day, “Nope, no baby yet,” and b) COME ON.

Total Weight Gain: Still sitting at 26 pounds. I don’t anticipate gaining too much more.

Weekly Workouts: Walking and prenatal yoga-ing. Some stairs, squats, and birth ball bouncing – do those count? ;)

Maternity Clothes: I’m sick of wearing the same things every week but whatever.

Sleep: Waking up constantly, because of contractions or needing to pee. Super fun.

Best Moment of the Week: Our 4 year anniversary!  We didn’t do anything too exciting, just went to dinner at Pondicheri.  But it was nice.  And my mom came to visit this weekend – that was fun. We also didn’t do much, but that’s what weekends are for!

Food cravings: This time of year always gives me a hankering for Halloween treats. My SiL is the best and made pumpkin Nutella cookies and brownie cupcakes with York peppermint patties in the middle. YUM.

Food aversions: Nothing right now.

Symptoms: More intense contractions, carpal tunnel, feeling restless and irritable.

Movement: Her little kicks have started to get uncomfortable since there’s not too much room.

“Only two more weeks (or plus two more, max**) before your baby makes his or her appearance. And what an adorable appearance that will be! Your little one isn’t so little anymore — weighing in at close to seven pounds and hitting the height charts at the 21-inch mark (or less).

As you prepare (best you can) for baby’s ETA, she is also getting ready, big time. Vernix and lanugo continue to shed from your baby’s body into the amniotic fluid. Your baby swallows that amniotic fluid (yum yum?) and some of it winds up in his or her intestines where it — along with other shed cells, bile, and other waste products (triple yum) — will turn into your baby’s first bowel movement (meconium) and perhaps your first diaper change.

Your baby’s lungs continue to mature as more and more surfactant is secreted (remember — it helps prevent the lungs from sticking to each other when your baby begins to breathe…definitely a good thing). At 38 weeks pregnant, all systems, almost go!– What to Expect (

Gender: GIRL

What I’m Looking Forward To: HAVING A BABY.

What I Miss: Not being pregnant. Hah. Can you tell it is time for me to have her already? :)

Next Appointment: October 30th. If I make it I will greet my doctor with a death stare.

How cute are the dogs?  So cute.

Estimated due date is November 11th.
