buying prescription medicines from

And then Thursday night wasn’t much better.

At least it was less scary.

I was exhausted last night!  I don’t know if it was the medication they gave me or what, but I felt almost like my legs would just not move me from the couch to bed.  Had to drag myself.

I don’t even remember going to bed or falling asleep, how weird is that?

At 3am, I awoke startled by a loud beep.  The dogs barked (they are very protective and bark at any little noise when Shane is away) but then Charlie started trembling and I knew right away what it was.  The damned smoke alarm had a low battery.  See, we had this smoke alarm when we lived in a crappy apartment after first moving here – it would go off anytime we cooked.  Seriously!  Charlie was terrified of it.

He started crying last night, and Mac soon followed suit.  Ugh.  2 crying dogs on my hands.  I let them outside and got the ladder out of the garage.  Turns out I am tall enough to unscrew it from the ceiling, but not to take it apart without losing my balance.  I COULDN’T REACH!  This was no good.

At 3:30 we all went downstairs to sleep in the baby’s room on the twin bed.  I figured being away from the noise would be better.  Charlie curled up on the pillow and trembled.  I don’t know how I fell asleep but I somehow did.  When I woke up he was under the rocking chair.  Mac had given up and fallen asleep.

The smoke alarm chirped all morning – goes off once every minute or so.  Dogs panting and drooling, fun.  Charlie tries to hide from it.  He hides behind the toilet, under the bed, wherever he can.  Once I couldn’t locate him, but this is what I found:

In the bathtub, with some dirty running clothes (they get really sweaty so I let them dry in the bathtub before putting them in the hamper).  Aces.

I asked Aimee if they could hang out at her place while I went to my doctor appointment so they wouldn’t be freaking out all morning and could maybe eat some food.  She said they did fine there – they look ok to me!

I spy some toes!

The good news is that my doctor’s appointment went well.  I lost a pound in the past week, but could just be a fluke.  Not concerned.  I am convinced that their scale is shit anyway.  When the nurse first weighed me, she was like…”Um, you lost four pounds?”  I said, “There is no way that is accurate.  I had only lost a pound when I checked this morning.  Please check it again.”  And sometimes it looks balanced when you move the bar within 2 pounds – weird.  So I go by MY scale.

I don’t know why they have mobiles above the exam tables.

So I can focus on the pretty, pretty butterflies?

But the doctor said since the fetal fibronectin test came back negative, I am not at risk for delivering in the next two weeks, but that I should definitely call in if it starts happening again.

She also said it would be ok for me to resume my normal routine on Monday – I just need to take it easy on the working out and be very cautious.  Hey, no bed rest?  I will take what I can get!!!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

I’m embarrassed to admit that the idea of letting my running clothes dry in the bathtub before letting them soak everything in my hamper NEVER dawned on me. Thanks, girl. And hooray for no bed rest!! You’re doing so great!!

Haha, glad to be of service. I was thinking to myself, “People will probably think that’s kinda gross that I still toss my running clothes in the hamper when they’re so stinky. Oh well!” Thanks for the support, Becky! :)

Glad all is ok and that you can exercise a little bit! I can’t imagine how frustrating bed rest would be for someone as active as you are.

Thanks Terra! YES, that would def be my least favorite. It would drive me nuts. I had a friend who was on bed rest for almost 4 months and she was miserable!

How thoughtful of your OB/Gyn to provide something to distract you while in stirrups…strange, but nice
