The baby is the size of an ear of corn. That’s something to think about…

I have definitely “popped” now.  One of my friends put it best – “You didn’t look this pregnant last week!”

Total Weight Gain: Between 9 and 10 pounds. Taking my doctor seriously about only gaining a half pound per week!

Weekly Workouts: Monday off, as per usual. Ran 5 miles with Shea on Tuesday, Wednesday was spin class, Thursday was 5 miles with Aimee. Friday off. On Saturday I was supposed to run 9 miles, 3 before meeting Shea and 6 with her. But my alarm went off at 5:30 and I was like ehhhh. Only ran 6! Lowest mileage in awhile. And today, Aimee, Jess, and I rode 50 miles at Katy Flatlands! My last ride on the road until after baby comes.  :(  But it’s for her safety and I’m glad I made it to 6 months and was still riding a decent amount!

Jess: “If we don’t take a picture, how can we make it on the blog?” – done.

Cycling with a bump can be punny.

Maternity Clothes: Standard. Wore the cutest dress to Hannah and Charlie’s baby shower. I actually have 3 of the same dress thanks to my MiL – it was so cheap at Gap! I’ll get a pic eventually.

Sleep: Getting more uncomfortable…waking up a couple of times during the night. Tossing and turning…

Best Moment of the Week: The weekends are always packed! Shane and I had our second Bradley Method childbirth class. I enjoy hearing from the other couples about what they’re doing. We had lunch at Local Foods and then swung by Baby’s 1st; one of the employees was extremely helpful and we finally decided on a stroller – the UppaBaby Cruz. It’s simple, lightweight, sturdy, and got great ratings in my Baby Bargains book. ZzzzzZZZ, I know I know. And after the ride today, I finally got the Starbucks frap I’ve been itching to try – mocha cookie crumble. Totally worth it.

I’m such a blogger, taking pics of things I eat and drink.  Oy.

Food cravings: Finally have gotten my fill of sweets, so none right now. Trying to eat my 80g of protein per day. A little harder as a vegetarian – but we are supposed to eat 2 eggs per day too!!! PS Kroger Greek yogurt has 16g of protein.

Food aversions: None right now.

Symptoms: Back is killing me after running mostly. Sleep is getting harder.

Movement: Baby girl kicks around a lot when I lie down – especially if I have recently eaten. She also moves around a lot on bike rides – loves the blood flow!

“Your baby weighs more than a pound and a half right now and sports a crown-to-rump length of about eight and half inches (standard letter size!). Wondering what (and who) your baby will look like? If you had a baby camera, you’d almost be able to tell by now. That beautiful face is almost fully formed. What’s still missing from the picture is the fat that will be piled on under baby’s skin. Until those fat deposits are made, that very tender skin is still transparent, which means a close look would let you see clear through to all the organs, bones, and blood vessels. Fortunately that won’t last much longer. Babies at this stage of fetal development are gaining about six ounces each week – with much of that gain coming from fat, in addition to growing organs, bones, and muscle. What’s been playing on your little rocker’s stereo system these days? All kinds of sounds can be heard by your baby in the womb: from air exhaling in your lungs, gastric gurgles produced by your stomach and intestines, you and your partner’s voices (which your baby will be able to recognize at birth), and loud noises such as honking horns, barking dogs (ahem), or a wailing fire truck.” – What to Expect (www.whattoexpect.com)

Gender: Girl!

What I’m Looking Forward To: SISTER TRIP to London and Paris!!! So excited.  I will miss my baby daddy though.

What I Miss: Wine tasting good. I have half a glass (OHHHH NOOOES – it’s fine, relax) every now and then, but it just isn’t the same. I used to not be able to get enough and now I half-heartedly finish a little.

Next Appointment: August 8th

Estimated due date is November 11th, 2013!

I think that was me that said you didn’t look this pregnant last week! If not, I said something similar. Agreed – your dress on Saturday was adorable!
