I’m not going to do the end of year survey as I usually do. Just don’t have the motivation right now, and I don’t want to answer some silly questions.
My 2012 was pretty awesome. Looking back, here’s a month-by-month recap.
January was…
Running my 3rd marathon. Chevron Houston Marathon!
A declaration of vegetarianism.
February was…
Livestrong Austin Marathon – my 4th.
Since I ran Dallas, Houston, AND Austin, I got the Marathons of Texas medal! Bling is clutch.
March was…
Winning my age group in a 5K with a time of 21:40 – not super fast, but I’ll take the podium spot!
Half marathon in Dallas as a training run for IMTX. It was hot hot hot already!
April was…
My second 70.3 in preparation for IMTX – the run through went well and I finished in 7:07!
A verbalization of fear for May 19th!
Kemah Triathlon – a fun race with good friends!
May was…
Mostly, consumed by one thing.
There was the taper. The distractions. More awesome family accomplishments (and distractions!).
And then the event – Ironman Texas!
June was…
Enjoying the summer, mostly.
July was…
My most eventful month of blogging – check out the archives. Nothing too much going on, but that’s the way I liked it!
Bike rides, trip to LA, Olympics!
August was…
Bridgeland Tri – after a 2 month hiatus, back to triathlon.
Tri Girl – the race that qualified me for the USA Triathlon National Championships – placing 4 out of ~50 in my age group! Here I am pissed to be off the podium..
Gearing up for the awesome Mad Men party!
September was…
Continuing training for Nike Women’s Marathon with my sister-in-law Aimee, and friends Shea, Amy D, Julie, Laura, Rachel – and the rest of the team!!
The incredible Mad Men fundraiser, which raised just about $3,000 for LLS!!
Lovely hostesses plus my awesome husband…
Houston “triathlon” – they cancelled the bike!
October was…
RUNNING NIKE WOMEN’S MARATHON WITH AIMEE!
And then the most amazing trip to Napa with the most awesome people.
Our 3-year wedding anniversary. Crazy how time flies!
November was…
Hosting a Shabbat dinner for our young adult group.
My friend Erica’s wedding.
Thanksgiving in Dallas – running a 5K/8miler with my dad and getting new family pics taken.
December was…
That’s a link to archives, I’m lazy.
I loved 2012 and I’m so grateful for all of my wonderful friends and family, a good job, a great and sometimes crazy life with my husband, and everything that’s to come.
I have a few resolutions for 2013…coming soon.

Holy cow, lady. Any single one of these things would be worth a LOOK WHAT I DID THIS YEAR but the fact that you did ALL OF THEM in ONE YEAR kind of blows my mind. You are amazing.
You’re amazing lady! Cheers to 2012 and cheers to all the good things coming in 2013!
