Weekly Workouts – not being a fatass.

I’ve come to the conclusion that the only way to track my progress with training is to keep a weekly log, and where better to do that than here?  I want to get back in shape, since I’ve gained a record-setting EIGHT POUNDS since IMTX training ended.  Chalk it up to the ridiculous distances of IM training, but I’m guessing it also has something to do with not working out, drinking like a fish, and eating everything in sight.  Yep.

So here’s my workouts from this week:

Sunday, 7/22
44 mile ride at Katy Flatlands with some fun friends.

Monday, 7/23 – rest day

Tuesday, 7/24
1700 meter swim at Dad’s Club (400 freestyle, 2×100 kick drill, 2×100 fingertip & superman drill, 6×50 10/10 drill, 3×200 descending)

Wednesday, 7/25

17 mile ride at Memorial in the morning
Evening – .75 mile warmup run, then 6k track workout, followed by .75 cooldown run (average pace 8:54 – oy).

Thursday, 7/26
DefineRev spin in the morning (so hard but an awesome class)
2 mile run in the early evening (average pace 8:57).  Very rough, my legs were DEAD from spin.  Perceived effort was sub-8 pace…then I looked at my watch.  Sucked.

Friday, 7/27
1800 meter swim at Dad’s Club (400 freestyle, 2×100 kick drill, 2×100 fingertip & superman drill, 4×50 half sprint, half easy, then easy, then sprint, 400m timed, 100m cooldown)

Saturday, 7/28
10 mile run (in 1:33, average pace 9:18)
Open water swim at Lake 288
