Finding our new home base.

Our time has officially run out in the corporate apartment.  We’re moving later today to one of the many Camden apartments in Houston – signed a three-month lease.  The majority of our stuff is still in storage in Dallas.  We have clothes, toiletries, and dog stuff.  So now….rental furniture and some major trips to Target and IKEA for a few items to tide us over.

Yeah, it’s a little frustrating.  But we didn’t come here expecting to buy the first house we saw.  Funny though because when we were house hunting in Charlotte, we saw three houses and bought the first one – which Shane found on the internet!  Easiest sell ever.

We have seen at least 25 houses in Houston.  Granted, we moved from a city of 750,000 to 2.3 million.  So yeah, real estate is bound to be a little more intense.

How am I doing it?  Living without any of our furniture, no books, no cooking utensils?  Well…I have an amazing husband.  Seriously, that’s 75% of it.  Any time I start to bitch and moan, he fixes whatever it is because he knows how hard this is right now.

We might have found a little something as far as Haus Ginsburg #2 is concerned – not exactly the kind of house we were expecting but if we decide to proceed I’m sure it’ll work out just fine.

No, this isn’t it – we are not cartoons!!
