Hi world!
I’ve felt lately that I haven’t been using the right venue, right tone, and I’m in a new chapter of my life (and that’s a we – WE are in a new chapter of our life).
In order to write well, you have to write what you know – and this is what I know. It’s not a rant, it’s not an opinionated or snarky forum. It’s simply a peek into our lives and what we’re doing.
If I had to pitch it like a book, I’d say it’s its very own entree salted with some Dooce and peppered with a bit of Young House Love. It’s the story of our marriage, our home, our tiny family growing together in Charlotte, North Carolina.
It’s not even a new chapter. It’s a new book.

So I heard I should follow your blog. And then I saw that you referenced YHL. I am completely obsessed with them…a friend of mine is good friends with John and Sherry, and introduced me to their blog way back in the day. Hope you guys are half as funny and awesome, in which case I’ll be one of your most loyal fans!
